Dallas, PA (May 6, 2023) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped game one of the MAC Freedom Semifinal best of three series at Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs will return to the diamond tomorrow afternoon looking to keep the series alive with game two beginning at Noon. A win would force game three immediately following game two with the winner advancing to the MAC Freedom Championship series next weekend.
Misericordia took a 4-0 lead in game one with all four runs coming in the third inning.
DSU got three of them back in the top of the fifth on an RBI single from first-yearÂ
JT Anderosky, an RBI double from sophomoreÂ
Gabe Diaz, and an RBI groundout from first-yearÂ
Carson Allison.
The Bulldogs had the tying run on second base with two outs in the seventh inning and with one out in the ninth inning but were unable to push it across as the Cougars took game one.
JuniorÂ
Jared Drake took the loss allowing three earned over four innings. SeniorÂ
JJ Paul pitched three scoreless in the loss.
Anderosky and Diaz each had three hits to lead a 10-hit attack.
