Maddie Trocki scored three times leading the DeSales University field hockey team past local rival Moravian University, 4-0, to open the 2023 season on Friday evening.

- This one was all Bulldogs as Trocki put DSU on the board 5:55 into the game with a reverse stick shot inside the far post.
- She scored her second just 3:05 later off a pass from senior Catie McGrath and made it 3-0 just before halftime scoring unassisted.
- Sophomore Madilyn Fedorowicz added the final goal off a pass from sophomore Jordyne Stong late in the fourth quarter.

- Trocki moves all the way up to seventh place all-time with 26 career goals after three on Friday.
- Senior Kayla Yeatman made five saves to record her ninth career shutout, moving into second place all-time.
