Center Valley, PA (September 1, 2023) - The DeSales University volleyball team dropped a tight four-setter to Clarkson University, 3-1 (16-25, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25), to open the 2023 season at home on Friday night.
Ater dropping the first set by nine points, the Bulldogs settled down, narrowly falling down 2-0 with a 25-22 loss in the second set. DSU rallied in the third set to extend the match, but fell behind early and saw a late comeback fall short falling in the fourth set.

Mykenah Calder had a double-double to lead the Bulldogs totaling 13 kills and 18 digs, adding two blocks and three aces. SeniorÂ
Paige Lewis added eight kills, hitting .294, and totaled three blocks.

Alyson Maddalone finished with 17 digs and had three aces and seniorÂ
Grace Grandinetti had 15 assists and 10 digs. SeniorÂ
Delanie Zohler finished with 10 digs and two aces and sophomoreÂ
Peyton Porterfield had 13 assists.
DSU is back in action tomorrow at home when they take on Rutgers-Camden and Dickinson at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
