Swarthmore, PA (September 13, 2023) - The DeSales University field hockey team jumped out to a 2-0 lead but were unable to hold on falling at Swarthmore College, 3-2, in double overtime in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

- This was just the second meeting between these two teams all-time, with the Garnet evening the series at one win each.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first quarter when sophomore Jordyne Stong scored off a corner feed from senior Maddie Trocki.
- The lead was still one into the third quarter when Strong scored again, unassisted just 2:40 into the second-half.
- Swarthmore got one goal back at 38:27 as the lead stood at one goal late into the fourth quarter.
- The Garnet tied the game with just 4:12 left in the game.
- Neither team scored in the first overtime and Swarthmore got the game-winner two minutes into the second OT to complete the three goal comeback.
