Reading, PA (September 16, 2023) - The DeSales University men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 tie with Penn State Berks in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 1, PSU-Berks - 1
• Records: DeSales (3-1-1); PSU-Berks (0-3-2)
• The ties moves the all-time record to 2-0-1 in favor of the Bulldogs.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs struck first early in this one scoring the opening goal in the ninth minute on a cross into the box from sophomore Kevin Krall to junior Tristen Castellani who would then connect with first-year student Steve Berrodin for the goal.
• PSU-Berks tied the game up before the half at 35:26, on a goal off the foot of Patrick Cwalinski from Landen Jamison.
• In the second-half the Bulldogs had a couple of scoring chances but were not able to capitalize on any as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Berrodin now has two goals on the season.
• Castellani and Krall each earned their third assists of the season in the draw.
• Senior Tyler Horton made one save in goal.

For the Foes

• Patrick Cwalinski scored PSU-Berks goal and Landen Jamison had the assist.
• Ethan Brazier had 10 saves in goal for the Nittany Lions.
