Center Valley, PA (September 16, 2023) - The DeSales University women's soccer team settled for a 1-1 tie with Farmingdale State on a late goal by the Rams in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: Farmingdale State - 1, DeSales - 1
• Records: DeSales (0-5-1 overall); Farmingdale (0-3-1 overall)
• This was the first career meeting between DeSales and Farmingdale State.

How it Happened

• DSU took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute when first-year Catherine Crampton connected on a long pass from midfield to the 18 and found fellow first-year Sophia Kearney wide open in the front of the box for an easy goal.
• Farmingdale State tied the game in the 82nd minute when a floating shot from Alexxis McNeil found the back of the net for the Rams on a pass from Stephanie Alberghine.
• Neither team were able to score in the remaining eight minutes as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Kearney scored her first career goal.
• Crampton added her first assist of the year and now has a team leading three points for the Bulldogs.
• Junior Jozlyn Minnema did not record a save.
