Center Valley, PA (September 2, 2023) - Fourteen different players scored leading the DeSales University men's soccer team to a record breaking 15 goals in a 15-1 win over PSU-Schuylkill on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

• The Bulldogs shattered the record for goals in a game (15), assists in a game (10), and points in a game (40).
• The previous record for goals stood at 11, accomplished three times during the 1987 and 1988 seasons.
• The previous assists record was eight also set three times and the previous points mark was established at 29.
• The win moves DeSales to 2-1 all-time vs. the Nittany Lions in the first meeting since the 1978 season.

How it Happened

• DeSales took an early 2-0 lead with two goals over the first two minutes of the game before the Nittany Lions got on the board in the 32nd minute to make it a 2-1 game.
• The Bulldogs dominated the final 10 minutes of the half scoring three times to open up a 5-1 lead at the break.
• The second-half was all DSU, tallying 10 goals to provide the final tally.
