Chester, PA (September 30, 2023) - The DeSales University field hockey team fell to Widener University, 2-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

  • This is DSU's third straight loss to the Pride, falling to 1-9 all-time vs. Widener.
How it Happened
  • Widener struck first in this one scoring just 2:05 into the game with a goal coming off the stick of Makenzie Adamson on a pass from Meredith Marsteller. 
  • The Pride added an insurance goal just before the end of the first period to take a 2-0 heading into the break.
  • The Bulldogs were held scoreless and the score stood at 2-0 the rest of the way.

  • Makenzie Adamson and Skylar Bayard had the goals for Widener.
  • Meredith Marsteller tallied an assist.
  • Arwen Fithian made one save in goal and recorded the win.
