Mikaela Reese became the 27th player to score 1,000 career points and also tied the all-time record for blocked shots leading the #20 DeSales University women's basketball team past Stevens, 68-48, iin MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

- DeSales has won three straight in the series and improves to 11-3 all-time vs. the Ducks.

How it Happened
- Stevens started quickly scoring the first three points of the game and taking an 8-3 lead five minutes into the game and led the entire first quarter including its largest lead (six points) at the end of the quarter (14-8).
- The Ducks scored the first bucket of the second quarter but the Bulldogs responded with a 17-5 run to take a 25-21 lead with 2:32 left in the half and went into the halftime locker room leading by four (30-26).
- Reese (8), junior Morgan Sterner (5), and senior Megan Bealer (4) did all of the scoring during the run.
- Senior Lindsey Welsh opened the second-half with a triple and DSU eventually went up double digits out-scoring Stevens, 22-12, for the second consecutive quarter to take a 52-38 lead after three quarters of play.
- The lead never fell below double digits in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs posted the final 20-point margin.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Reese scored her 1,000th point early in the third quarter, becoming the 27th player to reach the milestone, finishing with a game-high 21 points and adding four steals.
- Reese also tied the all-time record for blocks with one swat late in the fourth quarter, tying Bridget Walsh with 182 career blocked shots.
- Bealer and fellow senior Olivia Scotti each had double-doubles with Bealer totaling 15 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots and Scotti finishing with 12 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
For the Foes
- Leyla Castro led the Ducks with 10 points as the lone scorer in double digits.
Inside the Box Score
- DSU had 15 offensive rebounds leading to 16 second chance points.
- DeSales forced 25 Duck turnovers leading to 27 points.
- The Bulldogs out-rebounded Stevens, 44-35.
