Hoboken, NJ (October 12, 2024) - The DeSales University field hockey team fell to 24th ranked Stevens, 6-1, in MAC Freedom conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (4-8 overall, 0-1 MAC Freedom), Stevens (8-4 overall, 1-0 MAC Freedom)
• The loss drops the Bulldogs to 6-4 all-time vs. the Ducks. 

How it Happened

• Stevens scored first in this one with a goal from Sophia Cozza at 4:55.
• Gabi Moroney scored two goals in the second period to give the Ducks a 3-0 lead heading into the half.
• Out of the half, Moroney completed the hat trick and the Ducks scored three goals in a span of four minutes to give Stevens a 6-0 lead heading into the final period. 
• First-year Sierra Margut did not allow the Bulldogs to go scoreless as she tallied DSU's first and only goal of the game with 43 seconds left to play to post the final 6-1 tally.

• Sophomore Alyssa Schlossman made 10 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.

• Moroney led the Ducks with three goals. 
• Cozza scored two goals and tallied an assist.

• Emily Smart tallied two assists and Lauren Flynn tallied one assist in the win.
• Lily Wierzbicki made one save in goal and recorded the win.
