Women's Soccer Blanked by Stevens, 4-0

Center Valley, PA (October 12, 2024) - The DeSales University women's soccer team was shutout, 4-0, to Stevens in MAC Freedom play on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics
  • Final Score: Stevens - 4, DeSales - 0
  • Records: DeSales (4-9-1 overall, 1-1 MAC Freedom); Stevens (6-4-2 overall, 2-0 MAC Freedom)
  • DeSales drops its sixth straight game to the Ducks and the record to 2-7 all-time. 
How it Happened
  • Stevens scored the first goal of the game in the 42nd minute on a goal off the foot off Alina Friz to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead heading into the break.
  • The Ducks came out hot out of the intermission with two goals coming in the 50th and 51st minute by Sophia Murphy and Nicole Angelini to pad the lead up to 3-0. 
  • Stevens posted the final tally in the 74th minute when Lauren Alley scored unassisted which would give the Ducks the 4-0 win.

  • Friz, Murphy, Angelini, and Alley scored the goals for Stevens.
  • Friz, Luciana Rodrigues, and Gab Aloe tallied assists in the win.
  • Kenny Donley made one save.
Inside the Box Score
  • Stevens had a 15-3 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in shots on goal.
  • The Ducks took nine of 11 corner kicks in the game.
