Center Valley, PA (October 19, 2024) - Junior Makayla Issakhani scored in the second half to help give the Bulldogs a 1-1 tie with Arcadia University in MAC Freedom play on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 1, Arcadia - 1
• Records: DeSales (4-9-2 overall, 1-1-1 MAC Freedom); Arcadia (6-8-1 overall, 1-1-1 MAC Freedom)
• The draw moves the Bulldogs to 2-8-1 all-time vs. the Knights. 

How it Happened

• Arcadia scored the game's first goal in this one coming in the 20th minute off the foot of Abby Stephens on a ball that was stripped away from a Bulldog defender in the box while attempting to clear a goal kick that gave the Knights a 1-0 lead heading into break.
• Just a little more than five minutes out of the break the Bulldogs would answer back with the game-tying goal on a ball that was centered by senior Emma Ribeiro that found Issakhani in the front of the net which she one-timed and beat the keeper top shelf. 
• Both teams had numerous scoring chances in the remaining 40 minutes but neither team had a goal to show for it as the goal ended in a 1-1 tie.

• Issakhani scored her third goal of the season. 
• Ribeiro tallied her team-leading fifth assist on the year. 
• First-year student Saige Santa Cruz made two saves in goal. 

For the Foes

• Stephens had the goal for the River Hawks.
• Abigail Fuchs had seven saves in goal.

• The Bulldogs dominated the shot chart with a 26-5 advantage in shots and 8-3 edge in shots on goal.
• DeSales had an edge in corner kicks, 5-4.
