Rochester, NY (November 2, 2024) - The DeSales University volleyball split a tri-match at the University of Rochester earning a thrilling five-set win over SUNY-Morrisville in the second match to close out the day.
Match #1 (L/0-3 vs. Rochester)
The Bulldogs dropped a tight three setter with the host. DSU held a set point (24-23) in the first set before UofR won the next three points to take a 1-0 lead and closed out the match with a 25-20 and 25-22 win over the next two sets.

Allison Reimer led the attack with 10 kills and seniorÂ
Paige Lewis finished with seven kills and five blocks. First-yearÂ
Grace Pfaff had 11 digs and first-yearÂ
Kylie Campbell added three service aces.
Match #2 (W/3-2 vs. SUNY-Morrisville)
DeSales took a 1-0 lead with a 25-19 first set win hitting .355. Morrisville evened the match with a 25-22 win in the second set and won a marathon third set, 30-28, fighting off six DeSales set points to take a 2-1 lead. The Bulldogs rebounded from the heart breaking third set loss to win 25-19 in the fourth set and won the final four points of the fifth set to close out the match, 15-11.

Brooke Signorella led the attack with 13 kills, Lewis had 12 kills and five blocks, Reimer finished with 11 kills and 14 digs, and seniorÂ
Samantha Worontzoff had 10 kills and hit .556 for the match.
SophomoreÂ
Bryanna Purisima had 27 assists and 13 digs and Campbell had 18 digs and three more aces.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they close out the MAC Freedom regular season with an important MAC Freedom matchup at Arcadia University beginning at 7:00 pm.
