Center Valley, PA (November 23, 2024) - A 10-2 run over the final 2:43 spoiled a comeback as the DeSales University women's basketball team fell to local rival Muhlenberg College, 70-62, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

- It is DSU's second straight loss to the Mules, however the Bulldogs still own a 31-22 lead in the all-time series.
How it Happened
- DeSales dominated the start of this game scoring the first 12 points of the game to take a 12-0 lead 3:11 into the game.
- The Bulldogs still led by eight (16-8) before Muhlenberg finished the quarter scoring the final eight points to tie the game at 16.
- The second quarter was back and forth as neither team led by more than two points with the Mules scoring the final four points of the quarter to take a 31-29 halftime lead.
- MC opened the second-half with five straight points to take a seven point lead and pushed that advantage to 11 late in the quarter.
- A three-pointer from first-year Kayla Ishigami and a lay-up from fellow first-year Marissa LaVerghetta made it a six point game after three quarters of play.
- The Bulldogs chipped away at the margin over the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter, using a 9-2 run to tie the score at 60, thanks in part to six points from junior Mikaili Donmoyer.
- Muhlenberg responded with a three on the first possession after the game was tied and ended the game on a 10-2 run to take home the win.

- Donmoyer finished the game with a team-high 17 points and added four steals.
- Ishigami came off the bench to score 11 points.
- LaVerghetta had 10 points and senior Morgan Sterner also scored 10 points.
- Junior Sammi White had a team-high five assists.

- Veronica Dawson had a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
- Emily Unger added 14 points, Katie McGrath finished with 13 points, and Ava Connolly finished with 11 points.
