Scranton, PA (December 17, 2024) - The DeSales University women's basketball team returned to action falling at #4 the University of Scranton, 59-37, in a non-conference game on Tuesday evening.

- This was the 41st career meeting between the two teams as the Lady Royals extended its win streak in the series to six straight and are now 33-8 all-time vs. the Bulldogs.
How it Happened
- After the Bulldogs scored the first two points of the game, UofS scored the next 12 points to take a 12-2 lead.
- DeSales battled back the rest of the opening quarter to get within six points (17-11) after ten minutes of play.
- DSU got within four points two minutes into the second quarter on a bucket from sophomore Lillirose Lang before the Lady Royals extended its lead back to double digits, leading by 11 (33-22) at the halftime break.
- The Bulldogs refused to go away again getting within four points on four straight points by junior Mikaili Donmoyer mid-way thru the third quarter (35-31).
- Scranton answered with nine straight points and continued to lead by 11 after three quarters of play.
- The fourth quarter was all Scranton as they held DeSales to just four points to pull away for the 22-point win.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Morgan Sterner led the Bulldogs with 13 points, hitting three 3's.
- Donmoyer was also in double digits with 10 points.
For the Foes
- Kaeli Romanowski and Kaci Kranson each had 16 points to lead the Lady Royals.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot just 25.9 percent from the field and was 3-for-18 from outside the arc.
- Scranton hit 42.3 percent from the field and was 9-for-22 from deep.
- The Lady Royals won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding DSU, 47-26.
