Mikaela Reese combined for 47 points leading the #18 DeSales University women's basketball team past Stevens, 73-51, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

How it Happened
- Stevens led early (6-3) before as 12-0 run led by six points from Reese gave DSU a 15-6 lead before settling on a 16-11 advantage after one quarter of play.
- The Ducks quickly closed that gap scoring seven of the first nine points of the second quarter to tie the game at 18 with 6:11 left in the half.
- DeSales dominated the rest of the half holding the Ducks scoreless over the final 6:11, while finishing on a 20-0 run to take a 38-18 lead into the locker room.
- Junior Morgan Sterner started the run with a free throw and three-pointer and Scotti had 10 straight points at one point during the run.
- The lead grew to as many as 26 points as the Bulldogs held Stevens scoreless for the first 4:18 of the third quarter and continued to lead by 21 points after three quarters of play.
- The lead dipped below 20 points once before climbing back to 26 points several times during the final quarter as DSU posted its 13th straight win.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Reese led all scorers with a season-high 27 points, adding eight rebounds and five blocks, shooting 9-for-13 from the field.
- Scotti added a career-high tying 20 points and six rebounds.
- Senior Megan Bealer finished with four points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals in the win.
- Senior Lindsey Welsh five assists and five steals for the Bulldogs.
For the Foes
- Lucy Alberici had 13 points as the long double digit scorer for the Ducks.
Inside the Box Score
- DSU shot 42.6 percent from the field and held Stevens to just 30.2 percent.
- DeSales forced 26 Duck turnovers, leading to 29 points.
- Stevens out-rebounded the Bulldogs, 41-31.
