Quick Start Leads Men's Lacrosse Past Moravian, 14-9

Bethlehem, PA (March 20, 2024) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team scored six first quarter goals leading the Bulldogs to a 14-9 win over local rival Moravian University in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

  • The win is DSU's sixth straight in the all-time series as the Bulldogs improve to 7-4 vs. Moravian.
How it Happened
  • DeSales jumped out quickly scoring the first six goals of the game over the first 8:05.
  • Moravian clawed back into the game scoring four straight goals but the Bulldogs got the final two tallies of the half to take an 8-4 lead into the locker room.
  • The two teams traded goals twice to start the second half before DSU scored five straight to take a 14-6 lead and never looked back from there.

  • Senior Pat Schuett led DSU with three goals and four assists.
  • Senior Beau Neff added three goals and one helper and junior Nate Perry had a goal and two assists.
  • Junior Anthony Gash won 17-of-24 faceoffs and had six ground balls.
  • Sophomore Taylor Wikert caused four turnovers and had five ground balls in the win.
  • Senior TJ Lowe finished with 11 saves in between the pipes.

  • Vincent DeVito and Aaron Judge each scored two goals in the loss for Moravian.
