Aston, PA (March 25, 2024) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team out-scored Neumann University, 4-2, in the fourth quarter leading to a 14-12 win over the Knights in non-conference action on Monday evening.

• The win avenges a 9-6 loss last season and moves DSU to 2-1 all-time vs. the Knights.

How it Happened

• After each team scored to start the game, Neumann scored three straight to take a 4-1 lead.
• DSU countered with four straight to take a 5-4 lead mid-way thru the second quarter and the lead remained one (7-6) at the half.
• The Bulldogs opened the third quarter with two of the first three goals to take a 9-7 lead, but the Knights countered with three straight goals to take a 10-9 lead.
• Sophomore Christina DiGuglielmo tied the game at 10 to end the third quarter.
• Each team scored to open the fourth quarter before the Bulldogs took control with three straight goals, including two by DiGuglielmo to pull away for the win.

Top Bulldog Performers

• DiGuglielmo led the scoring attack with four goals and three assists for seven points.
• Junior Jess Brey added four goals and an assist, while also totaling eight draw controls and causing turnovers.
• Sophomore Hailey Linebaugh scored six goals
• Junior Meagan Landers had an assist, four ground balls, and three draw controls, while senior Hayley Petrosini added three draw controls.
• Junior Michaela Regan had eight saves in between the pipes.

For the Foes

• Lindsey Fagan led the Knights with five goals.
• Maggie Blemings added a goal and six assists.
