Center Valley, PA (March 26, 2024) - The DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a MAC Freedom doubleheader falling 1-0 in game one and 5-2 in the nightcap at McGettigan Park on Tuesday afternoon.
Game One (L/0-1)
This was a pitcher's duel with the only run coming in the third inning, an unearned run for the Flying Dutchmen.
DeSales had a runner on third with two outs in the first inning and just one out in the fifth inning but were unable to get the tying run.
Junior 
Rachel Lowry suffered the loss, striking out two in seven innings. First-year 
Paige Hromin had two of DSU's three hits in game one.
Game Two (L/2-5)
LVC scored one run in five different innings to build a 5-0 lead in this one.
Junior 
Tori Kenney blasted a two-run home run in the sixth to get the Bulldogs within three runs but were unable to rally any further.
Junior 
Alanna Hartzell took the loss allowing three earned over five innings, striking out two.  Sophomore 
Morgan Benner had two hits of the Bulldogs five hits.
DSU is back in action on Thursday when they travel to local rival Muhlenberg College for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 pm.
