San Antonio, TX (March 4, 2024) - The DeSales University baseball team committed six errors leading to eight unearned runs falling to Southwestern University (TX), 12-4, in its second game of its spring trip to Texas.
DSU took a 2-1 lead with runs in the first and third innings. Sophomore
JT Anderosky doubled in both innings scoring in the first and knocking in the run in the third.
The score remained 2-1 entering the top of the fifth an error to lead off the inning proved costly leading to five runs as Southwestern took a 6-2 lead. SW scored six more runs in the top of the sixth to take a 12-2 lead and never looked back from there.
Anderosky finished 2-for-3 and first-yearÂ
Ty Akins had three hits in the loss. JuniorÂ
Frank Parrotti pitched well despite taking the loss lasting 4 2/3 innings allowing zero earned runs, striking out five, and not issuing a walk.
The Bulldogs get a rematch with Southwestern tomorrow with first pitch set for 7:00 pm.
