San Antonio, TX (March 6, 2024) - The DeSales University baseball team gave up four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, falling at Schreiner University, 8-4, in its fourth game of its spring trip to Texas on Wednesday afternoon.
DSU took a 2-0 lead in the first inning as seniorÂ
Travis Kerr knocked in a run and the Bulldogs took advantage of a Schreiner error.
Schreiner scored four times in the sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead but the Bulldogs immediately tied the game at four with two runs in the top of the seventh on an RBI triple from seniorÂ

Schreiner took the lood for good scoring four runs all with two outs in the eighth to take an 8-4 lead and DSU was unable to rally in the ninth.

Andrew McGowan suffered the loss on the bump allowing three runs over 2 1/3 innings. SophomoreÂ
JT Anderosky had three hits, while DeStaso and seniorÂ
Gavin Zavorski each had two hits.
DSU wraps up its trip tomorrow taking on Trinity University.
