Men's Lacrosse Rolls Past King's 21-13; Wins Third Straight

Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 13, 2024) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team extended its win streak to three, staying unbeaten in the MAC Freedom with a 21-13 win over King's College on Saturday afternoon.

  • This is DSU's seventh straight win over the Monarchs improving the Bulldogs to 20-5 all-time in the series.
How it Happened
  • A low scoring first quarter saw DeSales leading 2-1.
  • After trading goals to start the second quarter, the Bulldogs took control scoring six straight goals to end the half leading 9-2 at the break.
  • The momentum carried over into the third quarter when DSU scored the first eight goals of the second half to take a 17-2 lead and never really looked back from there.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Senior Pat Schuett totaled the fifth most goals (7) and points (10) in a game in team history in the win.
  • Junior Nate Perry added six goals.
  • Senior TJ Herron added two goals and three assists for five points.
  • Sophomore Michael Wilburn had two goals and senior Beau Neff added three assists.
  • Junior Anthony Gash won 18-of-24 faceoffs and pickedup 12 ground balls.
  • Sophomore Taylor Wikert had three caused turnovers to lead the defense.
  • Senior TJ Lowe made nine saves and allowed just five goals in between the pipes.

  • Ben Spencer had three goals and Jake Cierech added two goals in the loss.
