Women's Lacrosse Ties Single-Season Wins Mark in 19-3 Win over King's

Center Valley, PA (April 13, 2024) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team tied the single-season mark for wins in a 19-3 win over King's College in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics
  • Final Score: DeSales - 19, King's - 3
  • Records: DeSales (10-2, 3-0 MAC Freedom); King's (1-12, 0-4 MAC Freedom)
  • DSU has now won three straight over the Monarchs and improve to 4-4 overall vs. King's all-time.
  • The Bulldogs tie the record for most consecutive wins with five straight.
  • DeSales also ties the mark for wins in a season (10) also accomplished during the 2019 season.
How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs left very little doubt in this one scoring the first five goals of the game and taking a 9-1 lead after one quarter of play.
  • DeSales out-scored King's 9-0 in the second and third quarter to lead 18-1 before the final tally was posted.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Nine different players recorded a point in the win led by sophomore Christina DiGuglielmo with two goals and four assists giving her 28 helpers on the year, breaking the single-season record.
  • Junior Jess Brey had four goals and one assist adding six draw controls.
  • Sophomore Bridey Lawler also had five points with three goals and two assists.
  • Sophomores Hailey Linebaugh and Danielle Sieja each had two goals and two assists and senior Hayley Petrosini finished with three goals.
  • Junior Meagan Landers added two goals and one assist.
  • Senior Mary Connolly scored once and had three caused turnovers.
