Center Valley, PA (April 23, 2024) - The DeSales University baseball team saw a late inning comeback fall just short falling to local rival Moravian University, 13-12, in a non-conference slugfest on Tuesday evening at Weiland Park.
DSU fell behind 4-0 in the top of the first inning but tied the game at four with two runs in the second and third innings.
Moravian reclaimed the lead with five runs in the fourth inning and led 12-4 entering the bottom of the fifth frame.

Travis Kerr hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fifth as DSU cut into the margin with three runs.
Down 13-7, the Bulldogs got an RBI double from first-yearÂ
Jeremy Stranix and a two-RBI single from sophomoreÂ
JT Anderosky to get within 13-10.
Stranix came thru again in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run single to make it 13-12 but were unable to push anything else across home plate.
Stranix finished the game going 5-for-5 with four RBIs, first-yearÂ
Jack Sague came off the bench to record two hits and score two runs. SeniorÂ
Gavin Zavorski had two hits and scored three times, Kerr had two hits and two RBIs, and Anderosky had two more hits and knocked in two runs.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday when they travel to King's College for the first of an important three-game series with the Monarchs beginning at 3:30 pm.
