Center Valley, PA (September 11, 2024) - The DeSales University field hockey dropped its second straight game to a nationally ranked opponent falling to #18 Ursinus College, 4-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened
- This game was tight the entire first-half and remained scoreless with three minutes left in the second quarter when after an injury took a key player off the field for the Bulldogs, the Bears took advantage scoring with 2:22 left in the half to take a 1-0 halftime lead.
- Ursinus added one more goal in the third quarter to make it a two goal game.
- DeSales had a chance later in the quarter to get back within a goal after being awarded a stroke, but senior Maddie Trocki shot went just wide as the score remained 2-0.
- The Bears added two more goals in the fourth quarter to provide the final tally.

- Trocki led DSU with three shots on goal.
- Sophomore Alyssa Schlossman made three saves in the cage.

- Mary Lauren Franz had two goals and an assist for the Bears.
- Amanda Groeling and Eliza Donaldson also scored for Ursinus.
