Montclair, NJ (September 18, 2024) - The DeSales University field hockey team dropped its fourth straight game, falling 3-0 at Montclair State University in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (1-4 overall), Montclair State (5-1 overall)
• DSU falls to 1-4 in the all-time series with the Red Hawks. 

How it Happened

• After a scoreless first quarter, MSU got on the board with just 1:18 left in the opening half to take a 1-0 halftime lead.
• DeSales hung tight and within one goal thru the third quarter as both teams were scoreless.
• The Red Hawks got their insurance goal with 8:43 left and added one more late to post the final tally.

• Sophomore Alyssa Schlossman had 10 saves for the Bulldogs in between the pipes.

For the Foes

• Kylie Compton, Emma Bianco, and Joey Mayer scored MSU's goals.
• Mayer, Bella Heiser, and Gab Maisto each had an assist. 

Inside the Box Score

• Montclair enjoyed a 21-8 advantage in shots, 13-5 in shots on goal.
• There were tons of penalty corners in the game as MSU had 14 and DeSales nine.
