Phoenixville, PA (September 18, 2024) – Five different Bulldogs score as the DeSales University men's soccer team rolls past the University of Valley Forge, 6-0, in non-conference action for their fourth straight win on Wednesday afternoon.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (5-1); University of Valley Forge (2-6)
• This marked the first ever meeting between the two teams.
• The Bulldogs have now won four straight games on the season. 

How it Happened

• DSU got on the board just six minutes into the game on a goal by senior Elek McDonald.
• The Bulldogs added some insurance in the 26th minute when junior Kevin Krall found senior Sean Bruce to give DSU a 2-0 lead heading into the break. 
• DSU added four goals in the second half in a span of seven minutes, and held the Patriots scoreless to complete the 6-0 shutout win. 

Top Bulldog Performers

• McDonald led the Bulldogs with two goals and added an assist.
• Krall and sophomore Lucas Heberling each tallied two assists. 
• Juniors Liam MacDonald and Colin Coffield, along with first-year student Michael Monroe scored the other three goals for the Bulldogs.
• First-year student Liam Gardiner tallied his first assist of the year. 
• First-year students Jimmy Shensky and Ryan Foley combined to record the shutout. 

For the Foes

• Juan Garcia Flores had six saves and Brandon Perez had three saves for Valley Forge. 

Inside the Box Score

• DeSales dominated the game out-shooting the Lions, 21-3, for the game.
• DSU also had a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
