Center Valley, PA (September 4, 2024) - The DeSales University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season falling to Rosemont College, 2-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: Rosemont - 2, DeSales - 0
• Records: DeSales (1-1); Rosemont (1-2)
• This was the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

How it Happened

• Fouls was the story in this one as the Bulldogs committed two costly fouls leading to both Rosemont goals.
• The Ravens got on the board in the 13th minute on a PK by Sean Millelli and held that lead into the half.
• In the 75th minutes, the Bulldogs once again committed a foul deep in the defensive zone that led to a free kick that saw Timothy Kane scored unassisted on the pass into the box.
• DeSales had some golden opportunities to score late in the game but a header just in front of the goalmouth went high and a lobby about 10 yards out was also high.

• First-year Jimmy Shensky had three saves in goal. 

For the Foes

• Gunner Hoffman made four saves to record the shutout.

• Shots were about even with Rosemont holding a 13-11 edge, 5-4 in shots on goal.
