Center Valley, PA (October 11, 2025) - The DeSales University field saw a second-half comeback fall just short in a 3-2 loss to Misericordia University in the MAC Freedom opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.

• The loss snaps a four game win streak in the series as the Bulldogs fall to 9-11 all-time vs. the Cougars.

How it Happened

• Misericordia scored once in each of the first tqo quarters to take a 2-0 halftime lead.
• DeSales got within one goal 3:18 into the second-half when sophomore Stephanie Pallante scored to make it 2-1.
• The Cougars got that goal back on their only shot in the second-half reclaiming a two goal lead five minutes into the fourth quarter.
• DSU refused to go away as senior Brynn Balliet made it 3-2 with 2:35 left to play.
• The Bulldogs were frantically trying to draw a corner as the clock expired on the game and the officials huddled for close to five minutes reviewing video to see if a corner should have been awarded before time expired but ultimately did not award a corner as the comeback fell incomplete.

• Balliet added an assist with her goal, which was her sixth tally of the season.
• Pallante now has four goals on the year.
• Sophomore Alyssa Schlossman made five saves in goal for the Bulldogs.

• Madison Lasinski, Abigail O'Donnell, and Ava Cirigliano each scored for the Cougars.
• Sarah Bogina made two saves in goal.
