Center Valley, PA (October 14, 2025) - The DeSales University volleyball team dropped its first MAC Freedom match of the season to Stevens, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-20), on Tuesday evening in Billera Hall.
DSU got off to a quick start in the first set taking a 5-3 lead before the Ducks scored seven straight points to lead 10-5. The Bulldogs scored four straight later in the set to pull within one at 14-13, but Stevens answered with five straight to take a 19-13 lead and didn't look back from there.
The Ducks had another early five point run in the second set to take an 8-4 lead and the Bulldogs were unable to recover from that early hole in the second set.
The third set was tight nearly the entire way as DeSales scored three straight late to pull within one at 20-19. Stevens answered the spurt with three straight points of its own to lead 23-19 before closing out the match.
Sophomore 
Allison Reimer had a team-high 10 kills and added seven digs in the loss. Sophomore 
Brooke Signorella had eight kills. Junior 
Bryanna Purisima totaled 14 assists and nine digs and sophomore 
Ashlyn Dinan had eight assists and eight digs.
DSU is back in action this weekend taking on Gallaudet University on Friday evening at 6:00 pm.
