Center Valley, PA (October 22, 2025) - The DeSales University field hockey team fell just short in its upset bid falling to #12 Stevens, 2-1, in double overtime in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

- The loss drops the all-time record with the Ducks to 6-6Â overall.
How it Happened
- Neither team got on the board in the first-half with the Bulldogs out-shooting Stevens, 7-4 over the first 30 minutes and producing the best chance to score, missing a penalty stroke mid-way thru the second quarter.
- Stevens got the game's first goal 4:01 into the second-half and had a chance to take a 2-0 lead on a stroke later in the third quarter that junior Alyssa Schlossman saved to preserve the one goal deficit.
- The Ducks were the aggressor in the third quarter with nine shots, but the Bulldogs slowed them down in the fourth holding them to just two shots.
- DSU got the tying goal early in the fourth quarter when senior Brynn Balliet scored on a pass from sophomore Mia Carder.
- Stevens peppered the goal in the first OT, recording eight shots, but Schlossman saved them all to force a second OT.
- In the second OT, the Ducks got the game-winner just 3:03 into the second extra period to take home the win.
Top Bulldog Performers
- It was Balliet's eighth goal of the season.
- Carder tallied her fourth assist, tying her for the team lead.
- Schlossman had 20 saves, tying for the third most in a game in team history.

- Gabi Moroney and Molly DiCampli scored for the Ducks.
- Taylor Brooks and Lauren Flynn each had assists.
