Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 25, 2025) - The DeSales University field hockey moved within one win of clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament blanking King's College, 3-0, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

  • This was DeSales' eighth straight win over the Monarchs to move to 11-11 all-time vs. King's.

How it Happened
  • DSU opened the scoring in the second quarter when senior Morgan Benner scored on a penalty stroke to break a scoreless tie with 7:10 left in the half.
  • The Bulldogs added two more goals in the third quarter to take a three-goal lead and never looked back from there.

  • Senior Brynn Balliet scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season to give DSU a 2-0 lead.
  • Sophomore Stephanie Pallante added a goal later in the third quarter tipping home a shot from senior Jordyne Stong.
  • Benner's goal was the fourth of the season.
  • Junior Alyssa Schlossman and first-year Lily Trocki each played a half to blank the Monarchs in goal.

  • Emily Bollinger had 11 saves for King's.
