NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2025) -- The DeSales University golf team is sitting in eighth place, with a round one total of 320, after the first day of action at the DeSales University Fall Classic at Olde Homestead GC.
Sophomore Matthew Smith led with a team-low of 76, making two birdies on holes two and eleven.
Right behind Smith was senior, Jimmy Kelly, shooting 80, and Senior Brandon Fox, shooting 81. Kelly made three birdies on hole seven, eleven and seventeen. Fox finished day one with one birdie on the third hole.
Rounding out the top four was sophomore Peter McGinley, shooting 83, finishing the back nine strong with three birdies on holes twelve, sixteen and eighteen.
The Bulldogs are back tomorrow at Olde Homestead, for the second day of the DeSales University Fall Classic.
