Mikaili Donmoyer tossed in a game-high 19 points leading the DeSales University women's basketball team past St. Vincent College, 65-55, in the 2025-26 season home opener on Saturday afternoon.
The Basics

- Records: DeSales (2-1 Overall); St. Vincent (2-2 Overall)
- This was the first meeting between the two teams since 2019-20 season as DSU moves to 3-1 all-time vs. the Bearcats.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs dominated the first-half of this one opening an 11-2 lead early with Donmoyer scoring five points early.
- That nine-point cushion held thru the end of the first quarter with the Bulldogs up 17-8.
- DeSales was stifling on defense in the second quarter holding the Bearcats to just six points and 2-for-11 from the field opening up a 37-14 lead at the half, out-scoring St. Vincent, 20-6, in the second quarter.
- After going 0-for-10 from outside the arc in the first-half, the Bearcats caught fire in the second-half.
- The Bulldogs kept pace with St. Vincent hot shooting in the third quarter as the lead grew to as many as 28 points before DSU held a 54-33 advantage after three quarters of play.
- The hot shooting for St. Vincent continued in the fourth quarter as the visitors used a 15-0 run between the end of the third quarter and start of the fourth quarter to get within 13 points (54-41) with 7:10 left in the game.
- A layup from sophomore Aubrey Pollard broke the string but the Bearcats scored six straight after that Pollard layup on back-to-back 3's to get within nine at the 5:04 mark.
- Senior Sammi White pushed the margin back up to double digits and it remained an 11-point game with 1:57 left with Donmoyer icing the win with a driving layup and two free throws late in the contest.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Donmoyer added four assists to her 19 points.
- Pollard was also in double figures with 14 points, shooting 7-for-9 from the field, and grabbing seven boards.
- Sophomore Marissa LaVerghetta didn't score but had seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the win.
For the Foes
- Olivia Yancy had 12 points and Carmella McDole 10 points each off the bench to lead the Bearcats.
Inside the Box Score
- The Bulldogs forced 22 Bearcat turnovers leading to 24 points.
- DSU also dominated the paint, out-scoring St. Vincent, 38-18.
- St. Vincent had a 38-33 advantage on the glass, and scored 20 second chance points.
- The Bearcats were 8-for-17 from deep in the second-half.
