Cold Shooting Spoils Senior Day in 50-42 Loss to Lebanon Valley

Center Valley, PA 9February 15, 2025) - The DeSales University women's basketball team shot just 27.3 percent dropping a 50-42 decision to Lebanon Valley College in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon in Billera Hall.

  • Lebanon Valley sweeps the season series as DeSales falls to 9-3 all-time vs. the Flying Dutchmen.
  • DSU stays two-games ahead of FDU-Florham and King's (whom both lost) in the MAC Freedom standings with two games to play. DSU can clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament with just one win in either of their final two games this upcoming week.
How it Happened
  • DSU started slow shooting just 8-for-31 in the first-half to trail by 11 points (29-18) at the halftime break.
  • After falling behind by 14 points early in the third quarter, the Bulldogs got it going using an 8-0 run to cut the margin down to six points (36-30).
  • LVC went back up 10 points with four straight points but DSU got within five with 1:53 left in the quarter.
  • Trailing by eight entering the final quarter, DeSales went cold again, scoring just four points in the quarter going 2-for-12 from the field, as LVC held on for the win, despite only scoring five fourth quarter points themselves.

  • First-year Aubrey Pollard was the lone double digit scorer with 18 points.
For the Foes
  • LVC had four players in double digits including Riley Hevelow (11) and Kailey Eckhart, Cristina Fernandez, and Brielle Reidinger with 10 each.
  • Reidner also had 13 rebounds.
Inside the Box Score
  • Lebanon Valley shot 42.2 percent from the field as compared to just 27.3 percent for the Bulldogs.
  • DSU had a decisive advantage in turnovers forcing 21 from LVC, while committing just six but were only able to score 11 points off the miscues.
