Sterner/Donmoyer Lead Women's Basketball Past Misericordia Clinching Playoff Spot

Center Valley, PA (February 18, 2025) - Senior Morgan Sterner and junior Mikaili Donmoyer combined for eight three-pointers and 34 points leading the DeSales University women's basketball team past Misericordia University, 61-48, clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament next week.

How it Happened
  • DeSales led nearly the entire game in this one trailing by two points briefly twice in the first quarter.
  • Tied at 15 after one quarter, the Bulldogs opened up an eight-point lead with the first eight points of the second quarter and led by five at the half.
  • A 6-0 run early in third quarter on 3's from both Donmoyer and Sterner made it a 12-point game and remained double digits the rest of the quarter.
  • That double digit lead never dropped below 10 points in the fourth, peaking at 14 points after another three from Sterner before the final was posted.

  • Donmoyer had a game-high 18 points, hitting 4-for-7 from outside the arc, and adding eight rebounds.
  • Sterner finished with 16 points, also hitting 4-for-7 from three-point land.
  • Junior Sammi White contribed eight rebounds and four blocked shots, while first-year Kayla Ishigami had a game-high six assists.
