San Antonio, TX (March 12, 2025) - The DeSales University baseball team finished up its spring trip to Texas with two wins taking down #7 Trinity University, 4-3, before a 17-5 win over Schreiner University earlier in the day on Wednesday.
Game One (W/17-5 vs. Schreiner)
The Bulldogs dominated this one recording 23 hits and scoring in all but one inning to snap a hard luck four-game losing streak. Seven different players had multiple hits in the win.

Travis Kerr was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBIs, and a solo home run. JuniorÂ
JT Anderosky was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBIs, and a two-run home run.

Gavin Zavorski was 2-for-6 with a run scored and an RBI, seniorÂ
Owen Fischl was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, first-yearÂ
Jacob Rivera finished 4-for-5 with three runs scored, sophomoreÂ
Jeremy Stranix was 2-for-4, and sophomoreÂ
Eric Wert finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Owen Geng earned the win pitching two scoreless innings, striking out two as five different pitchers combined to allow just four earned runs.
Game Two (W/4-3 vs. #7 Trinity)
The Bulldogs to an early 3-0 lead in this one scoring twice in the second inning and once in the third. First-yearÂ

John Rorick each had RBIs in the second inning and sophomoreÂ
Jack Sague bunted home a run in the third inning.
Trinity got within a run in the bottom of the third on a two-run home run but that score remained into the eighth inning.
The Bulldogs got a much needed insurance run in the top of the eighth on an RBI groundout from Anderosky.
That run proved important when Trinity put runners on second and third with just one out in the bottom of the ninth but seniorÂ
Ashton Johnson wiggled out of the jam retiring the next two batters to earn the save and strand the tying run at third base.
Five different pitchers held the Tigers at bay allowing just three earned runs and stranding 11 runners on-base. JuniorÂ
Andrew McGowan was credited with the win pitching 1 1/3 strong innings striking out two.
The Bulldogs return home and will be back in action on Saturday. The three-game series with Delaware Valley has had a schedule change and the Bulldogs will now host the DH on Saturday at Weiland Park beginning at Noon and the single game will take place on Monday at Delaware Valley.
