Baseball Wins Fifth Straight; Completes Series Sweep of Delaware Valley, 22-4

Doylestown, PA (March 18, 2025) - The DeSales University baseball team extended its winning streak to five straight, completing the three-game sweep of Delaware Valley University on Monday afternoon, 22-4, in MAC Freedom action.

The Bulldogs also extended its winning streak over the Aggies to five straight, improving to 72-21 all-time vs. Delaware Valley.

DSU took the lead for good with five runs in the top of the second inning after a two-RBI single from junior JT Anderosky and two-RBI double from senior Colin Houck.  A two-RBI double from first-year Jacob Rivera led a three-run third inning and sophomore Jeremy Stranix had a two-RBI single in the five-run fourth inning to push the Bulldogs lead up to 13-0 thre four frames.

That lead continued until the sixth inning when the Aggies got two runs in the sixth and two in the seventh to make it a 13-4 game.

DeSales scored five times in the eighth and four times in the ninth to post the final tally.

Junior Mike Hooker earned the pitching two perfect innings as six different pitchers were used in this one.

Fourteen different players had hits including Anderosky who went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Senior Travis Kerr had two hits and three runs scored, Rivera finished with two hits and three RBIs, and senior Justin DeStaso also had two hits.  First-years Eddie Cwiertniewicz and Aaron Schneider also had two hits off the bench.

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow traveling to Swarthmore College for a non-conference game beginning at 3:30 pm.
