DiGuglielmo's Eight Assists Leads Women's Lacrosse to Perfect 10-0 Start in 20-3 Win over Immaculata

Immaculata, PA (March 29, 2025) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse extended their winning streak to 10 games to open the season in a 20-3 win over Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon.

  • Final Score: DeSales - 20, Immaculata - 3
  • Records: DeSales (10-0 overall); Immaculata (1-10 overall)
  • DSU improve to 3-0 all-time vs. the Mighty Macs. 
  • DeSales extends its school record winning streak to 10 games and it also marks the first time they have started a season with 10 straight wins.
  • The Bulldogs broke the team record for assists in a season, recording their 123rd assist of the year in today's game.
How it Happened
  • It was all DeSales out of the gate as they scored 13 goals in the first half to take a 13-1 lead into the halftime intermission.
  • The Bulldogs pulled away even more in the second half scoring seven more goals and the defense held the Mighty Macs to only three total goals as DSU cruised to the win. 
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Eight different players scored goals in the win including senior Jess Brey with six goals and one assist for seven points along with a team-high eight draw controls won.  
  • Junior Christina DiGuglielmo led the Bulldogs in points with two goals and eight assists for 10 points, breaking the single-game record for assists in a game.
  • Junior Bridey Lawler (4g), junior Emma Williamson (3g, 1a), and sophomore Sophia Campola (2g, 2a) each had four points in the win. 
  • Junior Nicole Minelli recorded the win making three saves in goal. 
For the Foes
  • Jacki Murray led the Mighty Macs with three goals in the loss. 
Inside the Box Score
  • DeSales had a 40-9 advantage in shots and a 32-22 advantage in ground balls.
  • The Bulldogs won 18-of-27 draw controls.
