Women's Lacrosse Wins Third Straight to Start Season; 16-5 over Goucher

Center Valley, PA (March 5, 2025) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team won its third straight game to start the season, taking down Goucher College, 16-5, in non-conference action on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.

The Basics
  • Final Score: DeSales - 16, Goucher - 5
  • Records: DeSales (3-0 overall); Goucher (1-3 overall)
  • The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 all-time vs. the Gophers.
  • It is the second straight season DeSales opened with a 3--0 record.
How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs left little doubt in this one scoring the first 10 goals of the game and held a 10-1 lead at the half after Goucher got on the board with five seconds left in the second quarter.
  • The lead never fell below eight the rest of the way and remained above 10 after a goal from junior Bridey Lawler with one minute left in the third quarter.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Six different players scored in the win.
  • Lawler and senior Meagan Landers each had four goals.
  • Junior Christina DiGuglielmo led all players with three goals and four assists for seven points.
  • Senior Jess Brey finished with three goals and two assists, adding three draw controls.
  • Senior Michaela Regan (one save) and junior Nicole Minelli (four saves) combined to allow just five goals.
  • Junior Emma Williamson had five ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win.

  • Camden West had a strong game for the Gophers scoring four times.
  • Molly Smith won five draw controls.
