Center Valley, PA (April 21, 2025) - The DeSales University baseball team fell behind early and was unable to recover falling to Ursinus College, 9-4, in a non-conference game on Monday evening at Weiland Park.

The Bears took a 6-0 lead scoring three runs in both the third and fourth innings.

DSU cut that margin in half with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI single from senior Owen Fischl, sacrifice fly from sophomore Ty Akins, and RBI single from junior Shane Anhalt.

Ursinus added a run in the fifth and two more in the seventh to take a 9-3 lead and the Bulldogs posted the final tally with a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Anhalt, Fischl, and senior Colin Houck each had two hits in the loss.

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Moravian University for another non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
