Center Valley, PA (April 4, 2025) - The DeSales University baseball team couldn't hold a 4-0 lead into the sixth inning falling, 5-4, to FDU-Florham in the series opener in MAC Freedom action on Friday evening at Weiland Park.

DSU led 1-0 in the first when junior JT Anderosky stole two bases and scored on a errand throw between the catcher and pitcher.

The Bulldogs added two more runs in the fourth on a two-RBI single from sophomore Jeremy Stranix and took a 4-0 lead in the fifth on an RBI single from graduate student Travis Kerr.

DeSales was cruising defensively into the sixth when FDU-Florham broke thru scoring three times to get within a run (4-3).  The Devils got the tying run in the seventh and with the game tied heading into the ninth inning, FDU took advantage of a two-out error to take a 5-4 lead.

DSU put two runners on-base in the bottom of the ninth but were unable to get the big hit to fall by a run.

Anderosky had two hits and scored twice and Stranix was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Junior Mike Hooker pitched five strong innings allowing just two earned, striking out three.

These two teams match up again on tomorrow for games two and three of the weekend series with first pitch set for Noon.
