Madison, NJ (April 5, 2025) - The DeSales University baseball team salvaged a split in a MAC Freedom doubleheader at FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon picking up an 8-6 win in 10 innings in game two.
Game One (L/9-17)
Trailing 3-0 early DeSales took control with seven runs in the top of the fourth inning on a two-RBI double from junior 
JT Anderosky and five walks in the inning.
That lead was short lived however as the Devils hit two grand slams and scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 14-7 lead as FDU took game one, 17-9.
Anderosky finished the game 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs.  Graduate student 
Travis Kerr also had two hits.
Game Two (W/8-6 - 10 innings)
A tie game at two entering the eighth inning DSU took a 3-2 lead on a squeeze bunt from sophomore 
Jeremy Stranix and added an insurance tally in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly from Anderosky.
The Devils got two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game.
In the 10th, the Bulldogs got four runs and held off another Devil rally for the 8-6 win.

Ty Akins and junior 
John Rorick led the offensive attack with two hits each.
First-year 
Joe Ficoturo pitched well, going six innings allowing just two runs and striking out six.  First-year 
Danny Trentacosta earned his first career saves getting the final three outs in the 10th.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday when they host Ursinus College beginning at 5:30 pm at Weiland Park.
