Game One (W/7-6)Â
FDU-Florham got on the board first on a two-run home run to take a 2-0 lead. The Devils would score one more in the top of the first on an RBI double to push the lead up to 3-0.
DSU answered right back in the bottom of the first inning with three runs of their own. Junior
Shana Gugliandolo had a two-RBI double and first-year
Kylie Llewellyn later drew an RBI bases-loaded walk for the Bulldogs three runs in the frame as the game was tied at 3 after one inning.Â
Â
Sophomore
Paige Hromin came through with an RBI single in the fourth inning to give DSU the 4-3 lead. However, in the fifth inning the Devils rallied back and retook the lead credited to a three-run home run to go up 6-4.
Â
Bulldogs had yet another answer in the sixth inning plating three runs with first-year
Gianna Angermeier providing the game-tying RBI single and senior
Madison Kelly coming through with the go-ahead RBI on a sac-fly to center field to score Angermeier to go up 7-6.Â
Â
Devils could not put together anything in the top of the seventh as they went down 1-2-3 and the Bulldogs snuck out the game one win.

Â
Angermeier finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and one RBI. Junior

Â
Devils answered in a big way in the next frame with a seven-run fourth inning to flip the game over and take a 7-1 lead. FDU had six hits as part of the seven-run inning with three of those runs being unearned due to a fielding error by the Bulldogs.
Â
Kelly cut into the Bulldog deficit in the seventh inning with a solo home run but that was all that DSU was able to string together as the bats went out quiet in game two.
Â
Junior
Riley Long took the loss pitching three and 2/3 innings allowing two earned runs while scattering seven hits and striking out five.
Â
