Nine Men's Lacrosse Players Earn All-Conference Honors

Center Valley, PA (May 7, 2025) - Nine DeSales University men's lacrosse players were honored on Thursday morning being name to the All-MAC Freedom Team as announced by the conference office and as voted on by the eight MAC Freedom coaches.

Leading the way was senior Pat Schuett and junior Taylor Wikert, who were each named to the First-Team.

Schuett earns All-Conference honors for the third time in his career and is named to the First-Team for the first time. He ranked third on the team with 28 goals and 16 assists for 44 points. Schuett finished his career with 97 goals and 64 assists for 161 points, ranking seventh all-time.

Wikert earns All-Conference honors for the third time and is named to the First-Team for the second consecutive year. He is the leader of a defensive unit, leading the Bulldogs and the MAC Freedom with 39 caused turnover this season. Wikert had 73 ground balls and added two goals and three assists on the offensive side of the field.

Five players were named to the All-MAC Freedom Second-Team including senior Nate Perry, junior Jake Hurd, junior Mark Winkler Jr., graduate student Chase Bowman, and senior Anthony Gash.

Perry earns Second-Team honors for the second straight season. He led the team in scoring with 34 goals and 27 assists for 61 points. Perry finishes his career with 109 goals (ranked T-5th all-time), 67 assists (ranked fourth all-time), and 176 points (ranked 6th all-time).

Hurd earns All-Conference honors for the first time in his career. He had a breakout on the attack ranking second on the team in scoring with 56 points. Hurd led the team with 37 goals and added 19 assists.

Winkler Jr. also earns All-Conference honors for the first time in his career. He ranked fifth on the team with 23 goals and 12 assists for 35 points.

Bowman was honored for the second time earning Second-Team honors for the fist time in his career. The heart and soul of the midfield, Bowman is a two-way player that finished the year with six goals, was second on the team with 73 ground balls, and third on the team with 15 caused turnovers.

Gash rounds out the Second-Team honorees earning the honor for the second straight season. He leads the team and ranked second in the MAC Freedom in Faceoff Win percentage (.616). He won 237 face-offs, third most won in a season, and recorded the third most ground balls in a season with 154. Gash also tallied five goals and five assists for 10 points.

Rounding out the honorees were graduate student Patrick Kerrigan and senior Hunter Waldron both being Honorable-Mention All-MAC Freedom.

It is the first time each player has earned All-Conference honors.

Kerrigan started all 19 games on the defensive side of the ball totaling 10 caused turnovers, 35 ground balls, and one assist on the offensive end.

Waldron started 17-of-19 games in between the pipes accumulating 168 saves, a 10.62 goals against average, and a .494 save percentage on the season.
