New London, CT (September 13, 2025) - The DeSales University volleyball team dropped two matches in a tri-match on Saturday afternoon falling to host Coast Guard and Johnson & Wales (Providence).
Match #1 (L/0-3 vs. Johnson & Wales - 20-25, 18-25, 21-25)
The Bulldogs were tied at 16 in the first but dropped nine of the next 13 points to lose the first set. DSU had an 18-15 lead in the second set before J&W scored the final 10 points of the set to take a 2-0 lead and the third set was tied at 20 late before Johnson & Wales finished strong yet again winning five of the last six points to take the match.

Allison Reimer had five kills to lead the attack. SophomoreÂ
Amanda Maroney had double digit digs with 10 to lead the defense.
Match #2 (L/0-3 vs. Coast Guard - 17-25, 14-25, 12-25)
DSU trailed 10-9 in the first set before a 12-1 run from Coast Guard gave them control of the set and the hosts cruised in the final two sets to sweep the Bulldogs.

Joy Kindall had four blocks. Reimer led the defense with eight digs and first-yearÂ
Sophia Wilson had three aces.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday evening when they host local rival Moravian University beginning at 7:00 pm.
