Union, NJ (September 30, 2025) - The DeSales University field hockey team snapped four-game losing skid in a 3-1 win at Kean University in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 3, Kean - 1
• Records: DeSales (3-7 overall), Kean (4-5 overall)
• The Bulldogs have now won two straight over the Cougars, improving to 2-6 all-time.

How it Happened

• DeSales needed just 75 seconds to take a lead as senior Bryann Balliet scored off a nice pass from sophomore Mia Carder early in the first quarter.
• DSU made it a two-goal lead in the 25th minute when sophomore Stephanie Pallante scored on a back-handed shot over the GK's head and into the corner of the cage.
• Kean got that goal back just 2:40 before halftime to make it a 2-1 game at the break.
• It remained a 2-1 lead until senior Brooke Sodl scored unassisted with just seven seconds left in the third quarter giving the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead that stood thru the final quarter.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Balliet tallied her fourth goal, Pallante her third, and Sodl her second of the season.
• Carder now has two assists on the year.
• Junior Alyssa Schlossman made eight saves in the cage.

For the Foes

• Emmah Devlin scored Kean's lone goal.

• Kean had a 24-15 lead in shots, however the Bulldogs led 11-9 in shots on goal.
