Aston, PA (September 5, 2025) - Sophomores
Brooke Signorella and
Allison Reimer combined for 28 kills leading the DeSales University volleyball team past Ursinus College, 3-0, in the first match of the Neumann University tournament on Friday evening.
DSU led 14-7 early in the opening set but the Bears scored 12 of the next 16 points to lead 19-17 and still led by two (22-20) when the Bulldogs scored two straight to tie the set at 22. Tied at 24, Reimer had a kills and first-year
Haylee Arnold finished off the set with a kill to give DeSales 1-0 lead.
In the second set DeSales trailed 24-20 late but fended off four set points and scored six straight points to steal a 26-24 set two win as Reimer and Signorella recorded the final two kills to finish off the comeback. The third set was all DeSales as the cruised for a 25-18 win to finish off the match.
Signorella led the attack with 16 kills, hitting .286, and adding three blocks. Reimer had a double-double with 12 kills and 16 digs, hitting .321. Arnold added eight kills, hitting .500.
Junior
Bryanna Purisima and sophomore
Ashlyn Dinan each had 17 assists. Sophomore
Kylie Campbell finished with 14 digs.
The Bulldogs take on Widener and host Neumann in their two matches on Saturday to wrap up the weekend.
