Hot Shooting Arcadia Hands Men's Basketball Road Loss

Glenside, PA (January 21, 2026) - The DeSales University men's basketball team dropped an 83-73 decision on the road at Arcadia University in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

The Basics

  • With the loss the Bulldogs move to 21-13 all-time in the series with the Knights.
How it Happened
  • Arcadia had a quick start in this one, taking an 11-2 lead 5:29 into the game.
  • The lead grew to as many as 11 points before the Bulldogs got within six but still trailed by 11 at the halftime break.
  • DSU cut the margin down to seven points five times over the first six minutes of the second-half with the last coming on a bucket from sophomore Jayden Thomas at the 13:51 mark.
  • Arcadia led by 11 (56-45) at the 11:10 mark when sophomore Robbie Ruisch scored six straight points to get the Bulldogs within four (56-52) with 9:13 left.
  • It was a six point game after two free throws from senior Will Meeker with 5:01 remaining before the Knights scored seven straight points to take a 74-61 lead with 3:03 to go and the Bulldogs were unable to get within single digits the rest of the way.

  • Thomas and fellow sophomore Luke Keppel each scored 20 points to lead DeSales.
  • Thomas added seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
  • Ruisch finished with 12 points and eight boards.
For the Foes
  • Naz Johnson led all scorers with 22 points, adding five boards and eight assists.
  • Jamison Lynam had 21 points, four assists, and four steals.
  • Kyndall Crawford added 19 points off the bench.
  • Joshua Okocha had 10 points.
