ANNVILLE, PA (Jan. 23, 2026) -- The DeSales University men's tennis team has been picked fourth in the MAC Freedom men's tennis preseason poll announced by the conference office on Friday morning and as voted on by the eight MAC Freedom coaches.
The Bulldogs finished with 20 points, just three points above them is Arcadia. Stevens is in first, with 36 points and five first place votes, in second is Lebanon Valley with 28 points. Rounding out the top five is Misericordia with 15 points.
Rick Farris returns in his sixth year as the Bulldogs head coach. Farris was named co-coach of the year on the women's side in 2025 and in his first two seasons, he led the men's program to a 15-11 record.
The Bulldogs welcome back junior Jatin Prabhakar for the spring season after posting a 7-9 singles record in the #1 flight last season. DSU also has a first-year student, Patrick Buonacquista, who opened his career with three singles wins in the #1 spot during the Fall.
DeSales opens their spring season on March 18th at Ursinus College. MAC Freedom play begins on March 28th versus Stevens at home.
